Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have arrested four foreigners for selling fake motorcycle parts and accessories in a series of raids in Manila and Pasay City.
Chief Supt. Eliseo Rasco, acting CIDG director, said the operations stemmed from the complaint of the legitimate distributor of the motorcycle accessories and parts about the selling of fake products.
He identified those arrested as Wei Shun Cai, Amy Cai, Rovers Co, and Chen Chen. Nine others were also arrested.
“These were the result of three separate but interrelated operations,” said Rasco.
Rasco said some R120,000 worth of fake motorcycle parts and accessories were seized during the operations in Pasay City and Binondo and Quiapo in Manila.
Also arrested were Garilyn Bulan, Meriam Lebrido, Joy Concepcion, Alimar Butalid, Vanessa Sy, and Maricel Am-is.
Rasco said all the arrested suspects are now detained at the CIDG office in Camp Crame and were charged for violation of Unfair Competition. (Aaron Recuenco)
