CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – A jobless man who is said to be a drug dependent was shot dead after taking three people as hostage Saturday in Dasmariñas.
Senior Superintendent Arthur V. Bisnar, Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) acting director identified the hostage-taker as Peter Carpio Adricula, 33 years old and a resident of Block 19, Lot 12, Regina Ville 2000, Phase II, Barangay Inocencio, Trece Martires City, Cavite.
Adricula reportedly entered a house where he hostaged 20-year-old Marian Tarazona, single, her eight-year-old niece Janielsa Tarazona Fajanil and one-year-old Jeremiah Tarazona Fajanil using a kitchen knife.
Adricula initially released his youngest victim then demanded the presence of media in their area.
Operatives of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit however were forced to move in after screams from the two other victims were heard.
The suspect was shot dead after stabbing his victims who were eventually brought to the Emilio Aguinaldo Medical Center where they are now recovering from their wounds.
Adricula meanwhile was declared dead on arrival at the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas due to several gunshot wounds.
