ENTER BAES – In years past, there were the Bagets and Guwapings. Also those Regal, Seiko, Viva, Star Cinema, ABS-CBN Star Magic, TV5, GMA build-up guys.
It’s now the Millennial Age and enter, make way for the all-male group BAES, topbilling “TROPS,” which started airing Oct. 24 on GMA, before “Eat Bulaga,” produced by TAPE Inc.
Not to forget that Pina-French-Japanese charmer, Taki, the muse of the BAES.

GETTING TO KNOW – Let’s get to know the BAES, one by one now.
Kenneth Medrano is the grand winner of “Eat Bulaga’s” segment “That’s My BAE.” A native of Cebu City, Kenneth acts, sings, and dances well. He has appeared in “Eat Bulaga’s” Lenten specials and was part of “Calle Siete.”
Miggy Tolentino is dynamite on the dance floor, playing Kenneth’s rival over the affection of Taki in “TROPS.”
Kim Last is Pinoy-British martial arts expert, also comedian-dancer and “Sunday Pinasaya” mainstay.
Tommy Peñaflor is a six-footer, graduate of BS Radiologic Technology, but opted to join showbiz.
Jon Timmons and Joel Palencia are masters on the dance floor.

ISSUES – Directed by Linet Zurbano, “TROPS” tackles issues of today’s young people… peer pressure, generation gap, friendship, rivalry.
Parents and children can relate to each episode, which acquaint viewers with the dynamics of today’s millennials – fashion sense, attitude, lifestyle.
Hopefully, it will bridge the gap between today and yesterday’s generations.
