NEWLY crowned Miss International Kylie Verzosa said yesterday that she is excited to start her reign with big plans.
“I cannot believe it. I cannot express how I feel right now, but I am ecstatic. It’s been only a dream,” said Versoza on Instagram.
“Thank you to my family, mentors, designers, my Angels. Your prayers have worked, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!
“We have worked very hard to get this. To the girls in the competition, it was tough, but I’m glad I had you to go through with it. I love you all dearly, you are all beautiful. To the organization, thank you so much for having me,” she added.
“I cannot wait to start my new year with you! I have big plans. Thank you so much for having me,” Verzosa said.
The Filipino beauty queen also paid tribute to Miss International 2015 Edymar Martinez of Venezuela.
“To Edymar, you’ve been such an inspiration; your beauty is beyond compare, I cannot believe still I am following your footsteps. I can only wish to do as good as you. I am so grateful. Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu Japan, I’m so happy.
Philippines, this is for you,” Verzosa said.
Her latest post on IG was a coronation photo with the caption: “Taking time to sink in.”
Verzosa, 24, who graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University, was crowned Miss International 2016 during an annual pageant held in Tokyo, Japan last Oct. 27.
The beauty queen from Baguio City is the sixth Filipino to be crowned Miss International.
Sources said that a grand welcome awaits for Verzosa’s homecoming.
They added that Versoza is expected to come home on Nov. 11.
“November 11 is still a tentative date for her arrival. It will all depend on the Miss International Organization. Of course, we are planning something big for her homecoming,” the sources said.
