The family of a rape suspect who was shot dead by policemen after he reportedly tried to grab the gun of a cop appealed to President Duterte to help them attain justice.
The family of slain rape suspect Pablo “Jimboy” Dagsa Jr., 26, believe that there was foul play in his death.
“Umaapela po kami sa mahal na Pangulong Duterte na tulungan kami na makamtan ang hustisya. Natatakot po kami para sa mga buhay namin,” a family member of Dagsa, who asked not to be named, said.
The source said that policemen in North, Caloocan, tortured Dagsa after he undergone a medico-legal on Saturday.
“He told us that they tortured him. He was very afraid of them,” the family member said.
The accuser of Dagsa, according to the source, is a niece of a police officer.
Meanwhile, Caloocan Police chief Sr. Supt. Johnson Almazan said that Dagsa tried to steal a gun from one of the police officers who were escorting him.
The police officers were identified as Police Officer 3 Steven Sause, Police Officer 1 Donaciano Marin and Police Officer 1 Mark Anthony Motin. (Jel Santos)
