Newcomer Bureau of Customs goes for its fifth straight win when it collides with winless Department of Justice (DOJ)tomorrow even as House of Representatives (HOR) tackles Philippine National Police (PNP) in the 5th UNTV Cup at the Pasig City Sports Center.
Bannered by playing-coach Kenneth Duremdes and Marlou Aquino, the BOC Transformers are installed heavy favorites in their 3:30 p.m. encounter against a team still looking for a breakthrough win in the tournament organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon.
The 6-foot-9 Aquino imposed his will inside to score 25 points while Duremdes, a former PBA MVP winner, added 17 points as Customs outlasted PNP, 93-84, to notch their fourth straight win.
Meantime, the HOR Solons are out to end a two-game skid when they duel with the PNP Responders in the other Group B match.
Led by Rep. Mikee Romero and PBA veteran Egay Billiones, the Solons have dropped their last two games after a 2-0 start.
