A 136-member delegation comprised of athletes, coaches and officials from local government units (LGUs) of Palawan and Davao City will compete in the ninth Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Friendship Games slated December 6 to 12 in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Philippine Sports Commission commissioner Charley Raymond A. Maxey will head Team Philippines as Chief De Mission and Commissioner-in-charge.
PSC’s BIMP-EAGA Friendship Games overall head Michelle Balunan, who attended the organizational talks, along with PSC official Zennie Rollon, bared the country’s participation during the Chief De Mission meeting of the BIMP-EAGA Sports Council 2016 at the Hall of Governor office of Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia last Nov. 4 to 6.
The Palawan delegation is comprised of 42 athletes, coaches and officials. They will compete in five events:
athletics, archery, lawn tennis, table tennis, and sepak takraw.
Davao City delegation, meanwhile, is composed of 86 athletes, coaches, and officials.
