The Philippine National Police has anticipated the ruling of the Supreme Court favoring the interment of President Ferdinand E. Marcos and has long prepared for the possibility of a burial at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani in Taguig City.
Senior Supt. Tomas Apolinario, director of the Southern Police District, said they have come up with the security plan for the burial of Marcos at the Libingan through a series of meetings among law enforcement agencies.
“The SPD has finalized comprehensive security plan for Marcos interment,” said Apolinario.
Part of the security plan, according to Apolinario, is the rerouting and checkpoints in strategic areas, especially leading to and from the Libingan. (Aaron B. Recuenco)
