Three drug suspects were killed while another was arrested in separate police operations in Quezon City, Thursday night.
Police said the suspects identified as Anthony Galindez alias “Toto Luha,” a certain Dodoy, and one alias Bangkay died when they allegedly shot it out with the police in their bid to evade arrest.
Bangkay and Dodoy’s alleged cohort, Eller Santos, 45, was apprehended.
Galindez fell when he sold five sachets of shabu to a poseur buyer during an entrapment conducted by Batasan Police Station (PS-6) operatives around 8:05 p.m. on Purok 16, Adarna Extension in Barangay Commonwealth. The PS-6 said he was included in their drugs watchlist.
Galindez, upon sensing the fake transactions, reportedly drew a handgun and fired shots at operatives, triggering a shootout, according to police report.
Galindez succumbed to gunshot wounds in his body before arriving at the East Avenue Medical Center. Police seized from him his .45-caliber pistol and four foil strips.
Meanwhile, in Novaliches, anti-illegal drug cops arranged a deal with Santos, and alias Dodoy and Bangkay at Santos’ residence on King Francis St. in Kingspoint Subdivision around 11:50 p.m.
Santos reportedly gave the poseur-buyer a sachet of shabu which signaled operatives to arrest them.
However, Dodoy and Bangkay drew their respective handguns and opened fire at lawmen who immediately retaliated and killed the duo. (Vanne Elaine P. Terrazola)
