The Aiba Youth slugfest is for boxers born in 1998 and 1999 and more than 400 entries from 70 nations have signed up for the event that will take place at the 7,100-capacity Sibur Arena.
The Filipino entries were joined in the trip by coaches and former national team standouts Elias Recaido and Ronald Chavez Sr.
Next year, the top priorities of the Abap are the Kuala Lumpur Southeast Asian Games in August and the world championships for men’s elite in Hamburg, Germany, in September.
