Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Jose ‘Peping’ Cojuangco has closed the doors on the possibility of patching things up with the camp of boxing chief Ricky Vargas, who remains critical of the current POC leadership.
“Ayaw ko na,” said Cojuangco, sounding exasperated over moves being undertaken to unseat him by Vargas and his allies when elections are held on Nov. 25.
Cojuangco admits that he is being affected by Vargas and actions being done to force him not to seek a fourth term, stressing that his critics have gone “desperate”.”
“They said there is a clamor but they can’t even put up a ticket,” said Cojuangco, noting that Vargas even failed to clear a hurdle on eligibility alongside cycling boss Bambol Tolentino of cycling.
