Amid the communication troubles hounding his office, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar recently bonded with former press secretaries over good food and interesting conversation.
The reunion was organized by Andanar last week to show deference to his predecessors since the Marcos regime and share experiences in handling the government information machinery.
Among those present were former Press Secretaries Herminio Coloma Jr. of the Aquino administration, Cris Icban Jr. and Ignacio Bunye of the Arroyo administration, Mike Toldeo of the Estrada administration, Hector Villanueva of the Ramos administration, and Justice Adolf Azcuna and Deedee Siytango of the Cory Aquino administration.
“Nagpatawag ako ng reunion bilang galang na rin sa mga former Press Secretary at pag-aalala din sa mga yumaong Press Secretary,” Andanar said in a recent radio interview. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
