ACTRESS-television host Kris Aquino has posted a cryptic message on Instagram which her supporters believe referred to the surprise burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City last Nov. 18.
“Often the most powerful statement is your dignified silence,” said Aquino on her IG post. She followed the image with the caption “Good Night.”
Kris is one of the daughters of the late President Corazon “Cory” Aquino and the late Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. She is the youngest sister of former President Benigno Aquino III.
In 1986, Cory was sworn into office after a peaceful revolution which ousted former President Marcos, husband of former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
In October, Kris got involved in a controversy involving the Marcos wealth following rumors that she wore a diamond necklace allegedly owned by Mrs. Marcos.
The diamond necklace was part of the alleged ill-gotten wealth of the Marcoses, reports said.
Kris said that her sister Viel and designer JC Buendia showed her FB posts about her wearing the diamond necklace supposedly owned by Mrs. Marcos during the welcome dinner for APEC leaders last year.
“The necklace supposedly belonged to Mrs. Marcos and I was brazen enough to wear them for the APEC DINNER. Duh?” she said.
“The necklace I wore was made from cubic zirconia and silver – hindi po DIAMONDS (not diamonds). In other words, fake sila although Bottega Veneta naman (In other words, they’re fake, but they’re from Bottega Veneta),” said Kris.
“Enough! And the TRUTH is on my side – including credit card receipts,” she added.
