STO. TOMAS, Batangas – A one-year-old-girl and an unidentified woman died after a bus and a van collided in Barangay San Vicente, here, yesterday.
Eighteen persons, including the drivers of the bus and van, were injured in the accident.
Police identified one of the victims as one-year-old Alonica Razo of Bicutan, Taguig City.
The other victim was described to be 30 to 35-years-old, 5 feet in height, and wearing gray T-shirt, blue jacket, blue maong pants, and black shoes.
The victims were both passengers of the bus and were declared dead at the Sto. Tomas General Hospital by Dr. Rubil Jimenez.

Ronal Moroña, 33; Jecel Custodio, 22; Ruben Barling, 50; Ricardo delos Reyes, 63; Shirley de Castro, 39; Dolores Lova, 29; Manilyn Badino, 28; Andrea Cocamas, 56; and John Dizon, 29.
Investigation showed that the AB Liner bus driven by Joey Anthony Cruz, 46, married, of Guinyangan, Quezon was bound for Lucena City, Quezon from Alabang, Muntinlupa City when it was hit by the van driven by Arnel Remoto, 36, of Barangay Sala, Cabuyao, Laguna.
Police said the van bound for San Pablo City, Laguna from Cabuyao overtook another vehicle and did not notice the oncoming bus, resulting into the collision.
The bus and truck sustained major damage.
The bodies of the victims were taken to Bayante Funeral Homes here. The injured are recuperating in various hospitals. (Danny J. Estacio)
