5 p.m. – RC Cola-Army vs Generika
7 p.m. – F2 Logistics vs Cignal
F2 Logistics and RC Cola-Army gun for semifinal slots when they tackle separate foes in the playoffs of the Asics Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix presented by PLDT Home Ultera today (Sunday) at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The third seed Cargo Movers clash with Cignal at 7 p.m. while fourth seed Lady Troopers tackle Generika at 5 p.m. in a pair of explosive weekend battles bankrolled by Asics, Mikasa, Mueller and Grand Sport with TV5 as official broadcast partner.
Action will be shown live at AksyonTV, TV5, Hyper and will be livestreamed via Sports5.ph.
After finishing the double-round preliminaries with seven wins in 10 games, the Cargo Movers are heavily favored as they are stacked against a struggling Cignal side that won only once in 10 games and lost one of its imports, Lynda Morales, to injury.
A victory by F2 Logistics will pit it against Petron while a win by RC Cola-Army will stack it against top seed Foton in the semifinals set on Dec. 3 at the Ibalong Centrum for Sports and Recreation at Legazpi City.
Their playoff assignment may look easy, but F2 Logistics coach Ramil de Jesus wants to see his team go full blast in preparation for their semis match against Petron, a squad which they have yet to defeat this conference.
“Although our focus is now in the semifinals, we still have to be careful against Cignal,” said de Jesus after shutting down their preliminaries campaign on a high note with a masterful straight set win over RC Cola-Army at the Gen. Trias Sports Center last Tuesday.
