ESPERANZA, Sultan Kudarat – The local government here has offered reward money to anybody who could provide information that would lead to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of two men who planted an improvised bomb in front of a Catholic Church Sunday.
Two churchgoers were slightly injured when an improvised bomb exploded in front of the Our Lady of Hope Parish Church.
Mayor Helen Latog offered the reward to fast track the investigation of the bombing which she described as an act of terrorism.
Senior Supt. Raul Supiter, Sultan Kudarat police provincial director, said police investigators are following up a lead on the identities of the suspects.
Supiter said the bomb used was made of black powder, with cut nails and metals as shrapnel and a mobile phone as trigger mechanism. (PNA)
