The northeast monsoon or “amihan” will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon today and will slightly weaken by tomorrow, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.
PAGASA said cloudy skies with light rains will affect the islands of Batanes, Babuyan, and Calayan due to the amihan today.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected over Eastern Visayas and Caraga.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
By tomorrow, the amihan will temporary weaken, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the entire country, PAGASA said.
By Tuesday until Thursday, the resurgence of amihan and possible formation of a tail-end of a cold front will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Batanes, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and northern Quezon, PAGASA added.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
By Friday, PAGASA said the remnants of the tail-end of cold front will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Isabela, Aurora, and northern Quezon, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA does not expect the entry or formation of a tropical cyclone inside the country’s area of responsibility throughout the outlook period. (Ellalyn B. de Vera)
