DAVAO CITY – Thirteen persons were injured when the mobile police vehicle they were riding in crashed into a coconut tree after one of its tires blew up Friday morning in Barangay Biao Joaquin, Calinan, here.
Injured in the accident were four policemen, the driver, a social worker, five detainees, and two relatives of the detainees.
They were identified as SPO2 Rolando Cagaanan, PO3 Irene Cenabre, PO1 Alex Gallo Jr., PO1 Joanne Tripoli, Rodrigo Zamora, the driver, City Social Services and Development Office employee Ceejay Autida, inmates Christina Agio, Agustin Gorres, Orly Nebria, Marwin Rodriguez, and Jimlan Rustom and relatives Enrique Gorres and Rosabella Piladas.
The victims were on their way to medical inquest proceeding when one of its tires burst. Zamora lost control of Mobile Patrol 34 which crossed the opposite lane and overturned after smashing into a coconut tree. (Yas D. Ocampo)
