Actress Gretchen Barretto has promised more jobs for Filipinos as she arrived from a four-day successful business meeting with her common-law partner business magnate Antonio “Tony Boy” Cojuangco in Taiwan recently.
“It has been a productive business meeting. Here’s more jobs for the Filipinos,” said Barretto on an Instagram post.
Before the couple left for Taiwan, Barretto hinted at opening junkets in the biggest casino, referring to the soon-to-open Okada Manila, formerly known as the Manila bay Resorts Leisure and Entertainment, Inc.
“Working on more jobs for the Filipinos. Soon to open junkets in the biggest casino,” said Barretto, 46, on another IG post.
Cojuangco, cousin of former President Benigno Aquino III, currently sits as a member of the board of directors for the Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc., which owns Okada Manila.
In July, Cojuangco accompanied Japanese gaming magnate Kazuo Okada during a courtesy call on President Rodrigo Duterte.
Cojuangco said that the Okada group is also planning to build a resort in Palawan and Davao City. He added that the same group plans to bid for international airports.
Okada Manila is expected to be the home of the Miss Universe 2016 candidates during their stay in the Philippines in January 2017.
The 2016 Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held in Manila for the third time on January 30, 2017.
