The woman tagged by suspected drug dealer Kerwin Espinosa as one of his sources of illegal drugs has turned herself in to police, according to Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” M. dela Rosa.
Dela Rosa said Lovely Adam Impal surrendered to the Police Region Office-Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao under Chief Supt. Agripino Javier yesterday.
Impal’s name cropped up during the recent hearing of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs as one of Espinosa’s suppliers of illegal drugs.
Impal was previously charged in Cebu for the same offense but was later released from detention.
Dela Rosa said Impal has been turned over to the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group for investigation.
Police are currently checking if Impal has pending arrest warrant, according to Dela Rosa.
The PNP chief said Impal will be allowed to return home if there is no pending warrant of arrest against her.
“She can go home if she wants to, if she’s not afraid to go back home. Who knows someone is waiting for her return considering that drug syndicates already knows that she surrendered to us. It is also presumed that she already divulge the names of the members of the drug syndicates so there’s a possibility they might hunt her down. But she is free as a bird,” Dela Rosa said. (FRANCIS T.
