PROMISING – She’s 13 going on 14. No longer a girl but not yet a woman.
Highspeed features Angelica “Jelai” Espino, aspiring singer and actress, Grade Seven student at San Beda (Taytay, Rizal). She’s taking acting workshop at ABS-CBN Star Magic and singing lessons from no less than the esteemed Vehnee Saturno, who wrote a song for her, “Huwag Mong Biruin.”
Jelai’s parents are Butch and Bing Espino and is managed by sports-entertainment writer Nap Gutierrez.
Nap sees promise in Jelai and by next year he plans to formally introduce her to showbiz world. Jelai’s parents are very supportive… provided she does not neglect her schooling. A bright student at San Beda, Jelai promises to study well.
This early, Jelai hopes to take up law. Well, why not? San Beda has an excellent law school.

IDOLS – Jelai idolizes Vilma Santos and Ai-Ai de las Alas, who is helping her with her promising showbiz career.
She and her Ate Ai-Ai will be endorsing Natural Blend 3-in1 Coffee Mix. When Jelai was much younger she was model for Mocha Drink Mix 5-in-1.
Perhaps Ai-Ai and Jelai could be together in a soap or a movie… or even a concert.
How about it Nap G?
