The government has pledged to exhaust all measures to bring back normalcy in communities affected by the massive floods in Northern Mindanao.
Presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella said the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has started to provide relief assistance, including food packs, to the families displaced by the floods and will augment the aid as needed.
At least P7 million has also been set aside for efforts to help the families get back on their feet, according to Abella.
“Government is doing everything to ensure that things go back to normal especially now that the weather is improving and roads are again passable,” Abella said.
Cagayan de Oro has been placed under state of calamity following heavy rains and deep floods last Monday.
