Sky Range Shooting Club opens its doors to the public today for a one day competition at Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City as part of its first anniversary celebration.
This will be the first time the exclusive shooting club will be opening its doors to the public, according to Sky Range chief operating officer Gerry de Belen.
“We want to give non-members an opportunity to experience this world-class tourist facility through a one-day tournament,” De Belen said, citing that their facility was made by Action Target and that they have 99 different programs.
For his part, Sky Range Shooting Club resident Michael Ray Aquino emphasized that they promote responsible gun ownership.
“This tournament promotes target shooting as more than just a hobby but also as a sport and Sky Range provides the perfect training facility,” Aquino said.
The tournament is composed of three courses of fire with a total of 34 rounds with Virginia Count being used as the scoring system.
The winner of the tournament will take home a 45ACP 1911 A1 Pistol, second place will receive a Carbine Mini Riffle (22lr), and third place will get a Sky Range Day Pass Gift Card worth P10,000.
Registration fee is at P5,000 which includes use of firearm, ammunition, tournament shirts and cap, meals and a chance to win raffle prizes. Those who want to come and watch the Club Shoot may register for P1,000.
The P200 million shooting range is the first indoor accredited rifle range in the country and is also the first to be attached to a hotel.
Sky Range has limited its membership to P2,000 individuals with 100 slots exclusively for experts. Other packages available are those for Sharpshooter and Corporate membership. Day pass is available for non-members.
Some of Sky Range’s more frequent visitors are those from China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, the United States, and Australia.
