Young ace karters gear up for crucial intense showdowns in their last ditch efforts for the titles at stake in the season-ender of the 2016 Petron ROK Karting Super Series at the Carmona Racetrack.
Empire-Red Bull Racing top gun Jarred Kim guns for a sweep of all the final races of the nine-leg quest for the Mini-ROK crown as he sets sights on winning the last two races of event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines and sponsored by Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4, Petron XCS, Petron Ultron, Petron Xtra, Petron Sprint, Magnolia Pure Water and Yokohama the official tyres.
Kim, who ruled all the past seven final races, leads the Mini-ROK class with 485 points and needs the deciding victories to seal the plum against Empire-Red Bull Racing teammate Zach David and Inigo Anton of Edgesport-Yokohama Racing Team who are second and third overall with 358 and 276 points respectively.
Joining them on the grid are Joharry Suba, Cebuano Seven Aleman and Singaporean Aidan Quek.
Another Empire-Red Bull Racing Team young ace Khazart Romoff is also eyeing a nine-leg sweep of the Formula Cadet title as he tries to reassert his supremacy against William Go, Miguel Angeles, Junho Kim and Jolo Suba.
Romoff controls the top spot with a total of 472 points, a huge 122-point advantage over Go who tallies 360.
Angeles is third overall with 309 points while Junho Kim and Jolo Suba follow with 254 and 173 points espectively.
Vince Rojo is aiming for the Formula SL Novice crown up against Paolo Ayo, Aeromed’s Juan Diego Macapagal, Gabrielle Garcia, April Andrews, Mike Taveirne and Francisco Rigelo Adriano.
