MISS Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen has said that she is excited to return to Manila as one of the judges for Miss Universe 2016 beauty pageant at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City on Jan. 30.

Sen, 41, is India’s first Miss Universe.
After she finished her stint at Miss Universe, Sen became a Bollywood actress and appeared in several movies. She also won acting trophies. Sen has adopted daughters namely Renee and Alisah.
In 2010, Sen was awarded the Miss Universe franchise, which was previously owned by the Times of India Group, organizers of Femina Miss India, the largest beauty competition in her country. Three years later, she bid goodbye to the project.
Dayanara Torres
Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres is also expected to arrive in Manila for the Miss Universe 2016 beauty pageant and may later resume her show business career here.
Although there have been no confirmation about her return, the Puerto Rican beauty queen has been posting on IG throwback photos of her stint in the pageant and in the Philippines.
A recent post of Torres hinted at her possible return to Manila. It said: “I may not be there yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday.”
Earlier, Torres shared another IG photo with The Philippines printed on the image. It was captioned: “Throwback Thursday people!”
It was Torres who crowned Sen at the Miss Universe 1994 beauty contest held at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on May 20.
Torres, 42, later started a showbiz career by appearing in local films and television shows.
She was romantically linked to actor Aga Muhlach now married to Charlene Gonzales who represented the Philippines and placed in the semis at the 1994 Miss Universe contest.
Torres then returned to Puerto Rico and became a recording artist. In 2005, she appeared in the popular American soap “The Young and the Restless.”
The beauty queen was married to pop Latin superstar Marc Anthony in 2000. They have two sons.
Their relationship got rocky and they split in 2002. They later reconciled.
But in 2003, they separated again. Their divorce was finalized in 2004.
