IN response to growing interest in the media, the Teodoro F. Valencia Foundation, Inc. is setting up an eight-week seminar series on journalism and mass communication. This has been an annual project of the Foundation and is pursuant to one of its objectives to promote integrity and excellence in Philippine journalism.
It has lined up respectable and prominent practitioners in the field of journalism and mass communication. Topics include “Disasters – A News Beat in Reporting” (Tristan Lozano), “Science News Writing” (Linda Bolido), “Agriculture Writing – Backbone of the Economy” (Zac Sarian), “Business News Analysis” (Tony Lopez), “All About Money, Business Writing” (Efrin Cruz) “Movie Stars Are Hot News Makers” (Nestor Cuartero), “Sports News” (Quinito Henson), “Column Writing on Hot Issues” (Jarius Bondoc).
