Here are more intriguing shows to watch out for on GMA in 2017 following a media huddle network conducted with entertainment editors recently.
As noted in two other previous “Trailer” columns, the 2017 line-up is a merry mix of original concepts, revivals, reality, as well as attempts to bring back the comedy format in game shows.
The 2017 trend, according to entertainment head Lilybeth Rasonable, remains partial to teleseryes, usually still in the mode of drama. There are attempts on network’s part to lighten up the drama format by producing light-hearted romantic comedies, which have struck a chord with younger audiences.

CASE SOLVED: GMA Drama unveils another original show using the elements of interview, dramatization, actual videos and photos with “Case Solved.” Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is tapped to host this newest docu-drama.

PEOPLE VS. THE STARS: GMA Network continues to offer all-out entertainment as it brings in new shows and adds flavor to its trademark programs.
Beginning Jan. 15, Sunday afternoons will never be the same with fun game show “People vs. The Stars.” Hosted by delightful power couple Drew Arellano and Iya Villania, the program allows celebrities to play for a chance to win two hundred thousand pesos.

CELEBRITY BLUFF: “Celebrity Bluff,” the multi-awarded comedy game show on Philippine television, returns to Filipino homes daily in its new season. This all-original game show will be hosted once again by Eugene Domingo, with Edu Manzano as Master Bluffer.

FULL HOUSE TONIGHT: “Full House Tonight” is another pioneering weekly comedy-musical show top billed by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
