President Duterte has been working hard since Day One in office and the least his critics could do is cut him some slack, a Palace official appealed.
Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Ana Marie Banaag said she hopes the President will be given an “allowance for mistakes” since he is still a human being.
“Tao din lang naman ang ating Presidente ‘di ba? He is a working President. He works hard, he gets tired. Sometimes he gets annoyed,” Banaag said over government radio.
“But at the end of the day, sana we can give our President also allowance for mistakes. Kung may pagkukulang man siya sa pananalita at least nagta-trabaho naman siya,” she added.
Banaag defended the President following his harsh tirade against the Catholic clergy critical of his anti-drug campaign. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
