President Duterte has expressed dismay that his youngest son Sebastian has been spending less time at home.
In an assembly of water district officials in Davao City last Thursday, the President made a candid revelation that Sebastian has spent more time with an actress than taking care of his children.
“Ang isang bunso ko, isa pa ring t***. ‘Di umuwi ng bahay, sige lang doon kay Adarna,” Duterte said, alluding to actress Ellen Adarna who had been rumored to be Baste’s girlfriend.
Duterte was worried that Baste’s absence has affected his children based on a recent conversation with one of them.
“Tanungin ko ‘yung apo ko eh…’Sinong mahal mo, papa mo pati mama mo?’ ‘Mama lang.’ It’s a tragedy magsagot ng bata nang ganoon,” he said. “It’s a private family but ako sinasabi ko sa inyo,” Duterte added.
Just like Baste’s troubled ties with his own kids, the President also shared that he “never got along well” with his father, the late Davao Gov. Vicente Duterte. He said it was actually his mother Soledad who had “faith” in him. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
