Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong yesterday asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into a fake Facebook account using his name that “disseminates misleading information about the agency.”
The said fake social media account, Mamondiong said, uses his name “GENE MAMONDIONG” and picture while posting “untruthful news, banners and headlines thereby creating false impression that they are mine.”
“ I would like to inform and warn the public about a bogus Facebook account under my name “GENE MAMONDIONG” which had recently surfaced in the social media world,” he said.
“I categorically state that said fake Facebook account is not mine and while I do have my own legitimate Facebook account under the name “GUILING GENE MAMONDIONG”, the same is rather inactive and no official message have been posted thereon,” he added.
The alleged fake “Gene Mamondiong” account had its last public post on January 9 with a legitimate online article from GMA about raps filed against National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) executives in connection with the fake passport mess in 2016. (Martin A. Sadongdong)
