Four men posing as customers robbed a spa in Makati City, taking away 13 cellular phones and P20,000 cash from customers and employees in a span of 15 minutes, police said.
Theft and Robbery Section, Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB) of Makati City Police reported that the robbery took place at 11:55 p.m. inside Himawari Massage owned by Maria Regina Peñaflorida on Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City.
Four men entered the establishment and inquired about services the massage parlor offers. Moments after, they then pulled out short firearms and, at gun point, asked for the earnings of employees and valuables of customers inside.
After divesting their loot, the armed men escaped on board motorcycles driven by cohorts.
Minutes before the robbery happened, two male persons walking along Chino Roces Avenue near Malugay Street were also held up.
The victims refused to be identified by police for security reasons. One of the victims wrestled with the robbers, prompting one of the suspects to hit him with a hard object. (Anna Liza Villas-Alavaren)
