JUST A THOUGHT: “You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” – Mahatma Gandhi

THEIR HOME LIFE IS ON TV: What can be better than doing business with pleasure?
Hosting a TV show as a couple, that’s what.
Only a few couples can claim one such luck, now currently being enjoyed by team Drew Arellano and Iya Villania.
The couple host that fun-filled game show, People Vs. The Stars on GMA every Sunday afternoon.
Iya: ‘We’re just being ourselves, that’s the most fun part of this show.’
Drew: ‘The show allows us to be constantly together.’

NEW PARENTS: Drew and Iya are parents to a baby boy less than a year old. His name is Primo, whom they brought along to the media launch of their show recently.
The little one didn’t seem to mind (maybe he did, we can’t tell for sure) that strangers kept training their phones on him and clicking away.

SIMPLE BUT TRICKY QUESTIONS: The show allows celebrities a chance to win R200,000 by answering eight mind-boggling questions with respective cash values. If the stars fail to answer any of the questions correctly, the question’s cash value will be given to televiewers, who must answer the “People Question of the Week” through text.
At the show’s media launch, we took part in a mock quiz together with other media persons. We found the questions simple but tricky. They required concentration and not just a high intelligence quotient. At the end of the episode, our team was rewarded with 3,000 pesos, which we divided equally.
Iya says she considers doing the show her leisure time. Now, what can be better than that feeling?
‘Dito mas makikita nila kung sino kami inside our house,” says Drew.
People vs. The Stars airs every Sunday at 5-6pm. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
