National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents arrested recently three persons in Manila for selling fake tax exemptions certifications used for imported products.
The NBI identified those arrested as Ofelia Ollave, Jocelyn Amancio, and Ruben Flores.
NBI Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division (NBI-AOTCD) Executive Officer Martini Cruz said that the suspects will be charged with falsification under Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC).
Cruz said the suspects were caught selling fake certificates of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Free Trade Area, also known as AFTA, for the cost of P4,000 to P4,500 each. (Jeffrey Damicog)
