Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano has called her screen partner Enrique Gil as special someone but still refused to label their relationship.
“Yes! Yes! He’s very special to me because I believe I wouldn’t be where I am without him. I wouldn’t be Liza Soberano without him,” said Soberano as fans shrieked, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
She added: “He helped met to get to where I am.”
Soberano, 19, appeared on the show to promote her latest film with Gil entitled “My Ex and Whys” which will be shown on February 15.
The teen star has been consistently on the list of most beautiful celebrities in the country. When asked if it is hard to be beautiful, Soberano said: “When people think you’re maganda, you have to be maganda all the time. There’s a lot of expectations and it’s hard to live up to it because there are days when you feel like you’re not ready.”
Soberano also pointed out that she had difficulty shooting a scene in which she delivered the line “pangit ba ako?”
Reports said that the particular scene was shot for eight hours. Fans who saw the trailer thought Soberano was joking on that particular scene.
“It was a very hard scene for me because my character was going through an emotion which I haven’t actually been through in real life but Direk Cathy (Molina) was guiding me the whole time,” Soberano said.
She added: “We would have to stop shooting in between because either I would start crying too much that you cannot understand what I am saying anymore or there was a point where I cried too much and I got tired and I couldn’t cry at all.”
