“The Flash” season 3 takes a breather this Valentine’s Day as it prepares for the two-part episode “Attack on Gorilla City”. The stage was set before the Feb. 7 episode (“Untouchable”) went off the air following the sudden arrival of “Jesse Quick” (Violett Beane).
After defeating the latest metahuman “Clive Yorkin” (Matthew Kevin Anderson), Jesse Quick appeared and alleged that Gorilla Grodd has her father over at Gorilla City. According to TVLine, Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) got a message from some of the sentient gorillas who asked him to meet up with them but ends up missing. He led a 10-man delegation but ends up missing. This was when Jesse raced to Earth-1 to seek the aid of Team Flash.
Barry Al len/ The Flash (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) embark on a rescue mission to save Wells but will eventually be captured and brought to Grodd. It seems that Grodd will seek help from the team as they try to stop Solovar, the leader of Gorilla City, who has plans to invade Earth-1.
But there could be more to the storyline with Grodd and his army bringing the battle to Central City of Earth-1, something that is expected to evolve by the end of the two-part “Attack on Gorilla City” episodes. Part 1 of “Attack on Gorilla City” will air on Feb. 21 while part 2 will be shown on Feb. 28 via the CW network.
