Television host-actress Kris Aquino has said that she and her children have cancelled their trip to Hong Kong after a firebomb attack on a crowded MTR train in that city Friday night.
Aquino, who will turn 46 on February 14, said that she and her children were supposed to celebrate her birthday in Hong Kong Disneyland but got scared of the firebomb attack.
“Seriously awesome birthday floral arrangement from my favorite @boss1020. Thanks Cuz for the unconditional love.
P.S. We cancelled our trip, got scared of the MTR video we saw (we were supposed to go to HK Disneyland),” said Aqiuino on Instagram as she uploaded a photo of the flower arrangement.
The South China Morning Post said that a man, declaring he would burn passengers to death, set off a firebomb on a crowded MTR train during Hong Kong’s evening rush hour on Friday.
At least 18 people were injured which sent chaos among panic-stricken commuters, the report said.
Earlier, Aquino also shared on IG a photo of her son Bimby holding colored balloons and flowers for his mother.
“The kids & I are leaving tomorrow (they chose where I’ll spend my birthday). These arrived to greet me in advance… won’t lie to all of you, my life recently hasn’t been what I expected or prayed for – but holding on to my faith. Thank You to friends who just want to see me smiling again,” she added.
These days, the former presidential sister is busy with her food business as she opened new branches of Mang Inasal on Aurora Blvd in Quezon City and Chowking Restaurant.
Aquino also slammed a basher who called her “abnormal” on social media after she was linked again to Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista recently.
Aquino responded: “@carlaren_0809 you must care about us so much to write 2 paragraphs about us. The problem is everything you accuse me of I never hid in fact I had the courage to acknowledge publicly, apologized for, and I made my peace w/ my Lord & Savior. Bash me more, every time you do – God’s justice is at work.”
The actress-television host added: “I don’t know you so malabong may atraso ako sa yo – if it’s my existence that bothers you – 1 perfect solution IGNORE ME.”
