Police have recovered the black luxury vehicle that killed two men in a hit-and-run incident in Quezon City last Sunday.
The black Hummer vehicle is now in the custody of the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Enforcement Unit (QCPD-DTEU) after its driver Alvin San Pablo surrendered the other day.
The deaths of Lowell Gonzalgo and Felix Bose barely left marks on the vehicle which was brought to the QCPD headquarters in Camp Karingal around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
SPO4 Crisaldo Nemenzo, the investigator from the DTEU, said they traced the car in a remote barrio in Sariaya, Quezon.
Nemenzo said San Pablo, after the accident, went straight to Sariaya and entrusted the killer vehicle to his friend, who, only learned of the incident in the news.
“After he voluntarily appeared yesterday (Tuesday), San Pablo told us the location and our troop went there to retrieve the car,” he said.
The investigator said that San Pablo’s friend, whom he did not name, was also a colleague in the networking business.
Police did not find the friend at the time they were recovering the vehicle. (Vanne Elaine P. Terrazola)
