Just a few days after completing a three-peat feat following a three-game sweep of Lyceum of the Phl U in the 92nd NCAA juniors volleyball tournament, Perpetual Help is now setting its sight at winning a fourth straight crown.
The Junior Altas will retain the core of skipper Gabriel EJ Casana, Paul Solamin, Marvien Castillo, Jody Margaux Severo, Ivan Encila and Ryuji Condrad Etorma, making them the early favorites to win it all again in Season 93.
“We will practically carry the same roster for the coming season and we hope to win it again,” said Perpetual Help coach Sandy Rieta in Filipino.
Making the Las Pinas-based squad stronger is the addition of open spiker Noel Kampton, a transferee from National U.
“He will be an important addition to the team,” said Rieta referring to Kampton.
Perpetual Help will be gunning for its 10th championship in the next season, the second most titles in the league behind only San Sebastian’s league-best 15 crowns.
Perpetual Help board representative Jeff Tamayo lauded the Junior Altas for their accomplishment.
“I’ve seen the boys worked hard and this is the product of all the work they’ve put in training,” said Tamayo.
