The camp of Vice President Leni G. Robredo yesterday expressed confidence that they will win the election protest filed against them by former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.
Robredo lead lawyer Atty. Romulo Macalintal said that they remain positive even after the Supreme Court acting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal denied their appeal to junk Marcos’ protest.
“We are not afraid of this case,” he said. “We are very confident that after all these processes, Vice President Robredo will still emerge as the winner,” Macalintal added.
According to Macalintal, the PET resolution declaring Marcos’ case “sufficient in form and substance” should not be considered a “victory” for the Marcos camp. (Ina Malipot)
