ORANI, Bataan – Provincial governor Abe. S. Garcia is proposing to close one lane of the Roman expressway which will be converted into a jogging lane during weekends.
Garcia cited his recent observation in Bogota, Colombia where a portion of their main thoroughfares are being exclusively used by joggers during holidays, a program that is similar to what officials in Bogota, Colombia has been implementing.
“We will not only make the travelling along Roman highway safety and smoothly but also make it as healthy as our body,” said Garcia.
Garcia revealed his plans during their regular Peace and Order Council (POC) meeting held inside the One Bataan command center where he asked Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) General Manager Charlie Pizarro to study his proposal. (Mar T. Supnad)
