PALABAN NA SI JANINE: From playing sweet, cute roles in her past teleseryes, Janine Gutierrez graduates slowly but surely in the acting department.
She now plays a rape victim who loses her sight, and who as a lawyer, seeks justice.
Janine says it’s hard enough to play a rape victim, more so, the blind part can be disorienting.
Known for her prim and proper ways, much like her mother, Lotlot de Leon, Janine turns in a bold performance in Legally Blind, what she considers her baptism of fire as an actress so to speak.
Thank God she seems up to the part, based on what we have seen thus far in an advanced screening. Janine comes from a long line of actors on many sides of her family.
Her grandmother is the great Nora Aunor, mother to Lotlot. Her grandfather is the equally great Christopher de Leon.
Pilita Corrales, her grandmother on her father side, is herself a gifted actress, albeit stereotyped in comedy.
Janine herself is making a good mark in the entertainment scene with her pleasant personality and multi-faceted talent. She is an actress, host, and budding writer.
