Fresh from the success of the movie “My Ex and Whys,” Kapamilya star Liza Soberano has revealed that a new soap opera for her is in the works.
“I wish I can rest, but I’m lucky kasi mayroon po akong mga endorsement and work agad. I will be working for a new soap na sinasabi ko po na kasama ako sa pilot week lang and then… mayroon na din pong pitching for an upcoming show so malapit na din po kami magka-idea for that new show,” said Soberano, during the meet-and-greet event for her avid fans sponsored by Titus Pens and Crayons at the Trinoma Mall in Quezon City last February 21.
In 2016, Soberano appeared in the popular primetime teleserye “Dolce Amore” with actor Enrique Gil.
Soberano, 19, said that she is overwhelmed by the success of her latest film.
“I’m just really overwhelmed for the outcome of our movie. Ang hinihingi lang po namin ay sana mas mataas lang ng kaunti sa last movie namin, but God gave more than what we asked. And of course, I just want to thank everyone who watched especially yung mga nagpa-block screenings. We really love you guys,” the teen star said.
Soberano also reached out the members of the LGBT community whom she said have idolized her.
“Nakakatuwa, I love the LGBT community and I’m really happy that I’m able to reach out to them as well kasi a lot of my friends naman are beki. yung glam team ko lahat sila beki, so i really adore them,” she said.
Soberano is also busy these days with school where is enrolled at the Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities in Paranaque City.
It is the same school where Gil, love interest of Soberano in her latest movie, is enrolled.
Asked how she juggles school and showbiz at the same time, Soberano said: “It’s hard doing showbiz and school at the same time but I really enjoy it. In between breaks, I study my lessons or read.”
