A Police Community Precinct (PCP) commander lost at least P36,000 worth of valuables to an alleged member of “Basag Kotse Gang” Saturday night in Tondo, Manila.
Investigators identified the victim as Senior Inspector Marissa Santos, 34, PCP-6 commander of Valenzuela City Police.
Police said the incident happened at around 10:45 p.m. after she parked her gray Honda CRV (WNR-783) at corner of Fidel and Bulacan Streets in Gagalangin, Tondo, which is near her home.
Santos told probers that she and her family were already sleeping when her sister-in-law called her, informing that something happened to her car.
Santos rushed to her car and discovered that its window glass at the right passenger seat was destroyed.
She later found out that her Iphone 4s cellphone worth P15,000; Michael Kors sneaker worth P11,000; PNP patrol shoes worth P1,500; Nine West sandals worth P2,000; assorted goods worth P1,500; clothes worth P3,000; two .9mm magazines with live ammunition, and a game boy unit worth P2,500 were already missing.
Police investigators are trying establish the identity of the suspect who was reportedly seen clad in t-shirt, short pants, and slippers. He was described as about 20 to 30 years old, 5’9’’ tall, and medium built. (Analou De Vera)
