Embattled Sen. Leila M. de Lima yesterday renewed her call for Filipinos to stand up against President Duterte whom she branded a “sociopathic serial killer” and “dictator.”
De Lima made the call a day after SPO3 Arthur Lascañas resurfaced in a press conference to retract his earlier statement and admitted the existence of Duterte’s Davao Death Squad.
The senator said she herself was surprised at Lascañas appearance at the Senate where he originally testified against Edgar Matobato, a self-confessed hitman who testified under oath on the existence of the vigilante group.
“Ang panawagan ko lang naman ho sa publiko is…karamihan po kasi sa atin, tahimik pa rin. Huwag naman ho kayong manahimik. Lend your voice. Lend your voice of outrage on what’s happening in the country,” De Lima said.
