Even though she is behind bars, Sen. Leila M. de Lima said yesterday that she will remain a vocal critic of the Duterte administration and fight the trumped up drug charges that it has hurled against her.
Speaking to reporters before she surrendered to the arresting team of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at the Senate, De Lima said she will continue her fight against a dictator and believes the truth and justice will prevail.
De Lima was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204 Judge Juanita Guerrero for her alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade at the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa City.
Pawa hong kasinungalingan ‘yan,” she said.
“Lalabas ho ang katotohanan sa tamang panahon,” she added. (Hannah L. Torregoza)
