BAGUIO CITY (PIA) – More colorful flowers and fragrant scents fill the air as Panagbenga’s most awaited events, the grand street parade and grand float parade, take center stage this weekend.
Twenty-two floats representing various companies and establishments not only in this mountain resort but in the country will participate in this year’s Grand Float Parade on Sunday, Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFFI) chief of staff Evangeline Payno said.
Aside from the amazing floats made out of fresh flowers and plants from Baguio and nearby Benguet towns, some celebrities add up to the excitement.
Reigning Miss International Kylie Verzosa, a Baguio girl, will be riding the float of the Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, Inc.’s’ float.
Movie and television personalities Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, more popularly known as the Aldub of GMA 7 while Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo of ABS-CBN are expected to ride their respective floats .
The Baguio Flower Festival or Panagbenga, now in its 22nd year, continues to live up to its name and remains to be the most orderly and organized festival in the country.
