Kapamilya star Bela Padilla has pointed out that there is nothing going on between her and actor Zanjoe Marudo saying they are just friends.
“We’re just friends. Ours is a working relationship. There’s nothing to tell,” said Padilla, who just signed an exclusive two-year contract with ABS-CBN, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
Reports talked about a brewing romance between Padilla and Marudo after they were seen strolling at a mall. Later they rode on the same vehicle when they left the area.
Both Padilla and Marudo are single these days.
In January, Padilla admitted that she and her boyfriend producer-director Neil Arce have called it quits.
But Padilla said that she and her boyfriend of three years are still good friends. She refused to reveal the reason of their breakup.
Padilla, 24, said that she is doing a movie with Jericho Rosales entitled “Luck At First Sight” which will be shown in March.
Marudo was formerly in a relationship with actress Bea Alonzo. Despite the break-up, the two stars have been on speaking terms.
Marudo, 34, also said that he has already bought two tickets to the Coldplay concert in Manila but he has still no date for the much-awaited show in April.
The award-winning British band Coldplay will perform in the Philippines for the first time and tickets to the gig have been sold out since Nov. 2016.
The actor is currently seen in the new Kapamilya teleserye “My Deart Heart” which started airing last Jan. 23 after “Ang Probinsyano.”
Marudo is not even a father yet but this is the third time that he plays a father role – the first one being in “Anna Liza” and then “Dream Dad.”
