China is considering providing modern radio transmitters to help upgrade the Philippine government’s communication facilities and broaden its reach to the Filipino people.
China Ambassador Zhao Jianhua yesterday announced the possibility of additional communication equipment on top of the broadcasting training program and portable radios offered to the Presidential Communications Operations Office as part of the cooperation pact between the two countries.
The ambassador dropped by at the Palace for the turnover of 450 handheld AM/FM radios to Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
