SEEING STARS: In fairness, when concert producers sit down to cast performers in their shows, they usually consider artists from Star Magic top of mind.
They have high visibility, according to these producers which makes it easier to put them out in the market.
As Star Magic celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm presents a virtual festival of concerts, tours, sports tournaments, and other special events.
The series of high profile live presentations kicks off with“Divas US Tour 2017” featuring Yeng Constantino, KZ Tandingan and Angeline Quinto.
The series this year premieres the Star Magic Tours with stops in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco.

STAR MAGIC TOURS: Star Magic Tours in cooperation with The Filipino Channel featuring Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, Kim Chiu, Janella Salvador, Rayver Cruz, Darren Espanto, Robi Domingo, Eric Nicolas, and Bea Alonzo, opens in Tampa, Florida on April 8. Followed by Vancouver, Canada on April 9; Great America, San Francisco on April 15.
The Star Magic Tours resume on June 11, followed by London Barrio Fiesta come July 15 and 16.
The same tour brings 25 artists to Singapore on October 29, followed by shows in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
Comedians Pokwang and Chokoleit are part of “Coco X Funtastic 4,” with shows in Toronto on April 7, Montreal on April 8, New York on April 9, Santa Ynez, California on April 14, and Glendale, Los Angeles on April 15.
The biggest stars take center stage on May 21 to mark the Grand 25th Star Magic Anniversary Celebration in Araneta Coliseum.

SPORTING STARS: In the sporting scene, Gerald Anderson becomes the Philippine representative to the Los Angeles Marathon on March 19. Piolo Pascual, Matteo Guidicelli and Ivan Carapiet once again participate in Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Cebu come August.
Star Magic’s official basketball team plays in an exhibition game in Qatar in July.
“Kapamilya Playoffs,” Star Magic’s sportsfest, is set on August 5. Stars will compete in basketball and volleyball tournaments.

STAR MAGIC BALL ATBP: By August 12, “ASAP” would bring their showmanship through “ASAP in Toronto, Canada.”
The glamorous 11th Star Magic Ballhappens on September 9 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. The night of prestige marks launch of the digital version of the annual Star Magic Catalogue.
In November, Daniel Padillastages his fourth major concert in Araneta Coliseum.
November’s big events also include Star Magic Gives Back, a charity event.
There, too, is the annual Sunpiology racing event on the same month.

WRITING STARS: Meanwhile, Star Magic artists are also exploring new media this year.
Pokwang will release her first ever book under ABS-CBN Publishing titled “Nagmahal, Nasaktan, Nagluto, Nagpatikim.”
