HOW THEY FARE: How will Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, commonly known as the phenomenal AlDub, fare as stars of a network- produced teleserye?
That was the question on every media person’s lips when GMA launched the couple’s very first TV series, “Destined To Be Yours” last Monday, Feb. 27.
Naturally, having come from a highly publicized, top-rating kalyeserye on Eat Bulaga, expectations are higher as Al-Dub goes into high gear in a well-oiled, pre-planned production with all the works.
In a conversation, Alden said he and Maine can only hope for the best.
“Sana, nandiyan palagi ang mga fans at supporters namin,” he said wistfully.
Alden is still recuperating from a bout of flu. He is clearly one of the most overworked actors today.

MAINE ADJUSTING: Maine admitted that she’s still adjusting to the heavy taping schedule of a teleserye.
Not being used to all-night stand filming, the young actress thanked her producers for assigning her a light material for her first drama series.
“I’m still getting used to the daily, nightly grind,’’ she said.
She hopes to continue doing light, romantic roles for the meantime, until she has mastered enough courage to take on more serious roles.
